Hello! Welcome to my blog and to the end of 2014.

If you are like me you are ready for a new year. I am so very ready to have a fresh, new start. At this time of year I look back on what has happened, and this year is no exception. But this time I am looking at what I gained instead of what I went through. I am choosing to focus on my personal growth and see the value in what I went through. Kind of tough to do when you have a rough year.

So how has this year been for you? What have you gained? What accomplishments have occurred that you need to celebrate? I think there is a lot to be said for appreciating even the small things. Especially the small things. The give our lives meaning.

When I look back on this year, I see that I made a courageous step to follow my dream. I might have been hasty in my planning it out and made mistakes along the way, but that is how we learn. I guess this is the teacher in me coming out, but I know that we are always learning and growing. Changing. Evolving. For me, this year was a time of self-growth and personal understanding. Acceptance, even. I met wonderful, new friends. I stepped into making my dream a reality. I saw things in myself I wanted to be rid of and am working on those things. Life is different in many ways.

When you welcome the new year, what do you hope to carry on in your life and what would you like to let go of?  The options are limitless and you can achieve it. I truly believe that. Take courage that you have everything you need to do what your heart desires already in your life!

I will be celebrating the end of a hard yet meaningful year. I am relishing the idea of having a great year. Hope springs eternal!!

I hope you have a lot to celebrate and look forward to as the new year approaches. Happy New Year to you!!

below I have chosen some of my favorite photos of the year! Enjoy!
